Fort Collins Breweries
What's better than good beer and friends? How about seeing where good beer is made with friends. Oh yea and they fed us plenty of beer to. That's exactly what we got when we visited the New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado. The day began early and was a little hectic, with a late edition to our group, but we were happy to have Charlie join us. We made it to the brewery just in the nick of time and were immediately greeted with beers to start the tour. We also got to sample a few brews that are only available at the brewery. They were created by employees who won beer challenges held by New Belgium. We saw where beers where bottled and were given Fat Tires fresh off the bottling line only 25 minutes old. The best tasting Fat Tires we would ever have. A couple guys in the tour group were oddly more drunk than the rest of us and far more annoying, but watching one trip over a curb and fall on his face more than made up for it. The tour lasted about an hour and we left as bigger fans of New Belgium knowing everything there was to know about their beer and having sampled some beers we normally wouldn't have made for a good time.
